FIELD: radio engineering and communications.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering, in particular to signal modulators. Input of a modulator is fed with a high-frequency harmonic signal, the modulator is made of a four-terminal network. Controlled element is connected between the output of the four-terminal network and the load. Complex four-terminal network is selected, the dependences of the complex elements of a classical transfer matrix of the four-terminal network on the frequency are selected from the condition for ensuring the specified dependencies phases ϕ1,2 and modules m1,2 of transfer functions on the frequency in a first and second states using the following mathematical expressions: α=-z0γ+A/d; β=-z0+B/d, where α=a/d; β=b/d; γ=c/d – dependency relationships of the elements a, b, c, d of the transfer matrix of the four-terminal network on the frequency; z0 – the dependence of the signal source resistance on the frequency; yn – the dependence of load admittance on the frequency; y1,2 – the dependence of the controlled element admittance on the frequency.
EFFECT: providing the amplitude and phase keying of the transmission signal in two states of the controlled element.
