FIELD: radio engineering and communications.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio communication and can be used to generate required time forms of phase-shift keyed, amplitude-shift keyed, as well as amplitude-phase-shift keyed and amplitude-phase-modulated signals in a given frequency band. Essence: high-frequency harmonic signal is supplied to input of modulator, modulator is made of four-terminal network, two-pole controlled element connected to source of low-frequency control signal. Four-terminal network is made from the number of two-pole network, which are not less than two, the parameters of which are selected from the condition of providing the required amplitude-frequency and phase-frequency characteristics in two states of the controlled element, which are determined by two levels of the low-frequency control signal. Two-pole controlled element is connected to the longitudinal circuit between the output of the four-terminal network and the load with complex resistance. Source of a signal with complex resistance is connected to the input of the four-terminal network. Four-terminal network is selected as a complex one. Dependences of the complex elements of the classical transmission matrix of the four-terminal network on the frequency are selected from the condition of providing the specified phase dependencies ϕ1,2 and modules m1,2 of transfer functions on the frequency in the first and second states.

EFFECT: method for modulation of amplitude and phase of high-frequency signals and its implementation device are proposed.
