FIELD: electrical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the ozone generator and can be used for the water disinfection or for wood, cellulose or pulp bleaching for the paper production. Ozone generator comprises defining the intermediate space high-voltage electrode (5) and at least one counter-electrode (1), in which at least one dielectric (2) is mounted, and through which gas flows in the straightened flow direction. High-voltage electrode (5) and at least one counter-electrode (1) have power supply connection (7) for the quiet discharges production, emerging from the surface points. Central distance between the high-voltage electrode (5) and at least one counter-electrode (1) and the central discharge distance are unchangeable. Number of surface points, from which quiet discharges emerge decreases in the straightened flow direction.
EFFECT: increase in the productivity by reducing the electric power supplied in the gas flow direction per unit of the electrode surface, wherein the ozone generator has the simplest and most economical design.
