THERMOTROPIC POLYMERS Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC C09K9/02 C08L33/00 C08J3/00 C08J5/04

Abstract RU 2663755 C2

FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to polymer particles having an average primary particle diameter of 50 nm to 10 mcm, comprising a relatively total mass: A) from 10 to 100 wt% of polymer phase A obtained by free-radical copolymerisation of an oil-in-water type mini-emulsion with a mixture of monomers as an oil phase, comprising: i) 30-99.9 wt% of one or more monoethylenically unsaturated monomers I with at least one C12-C48-n-alkyl side chain; ii) 0-60 wt% of one or more monoethylenically unsaturated monomers II with at least one C1-C11-alkyl and/or one C3-C48-isoalkyl side chain; iii) 0.1-20 wt% of one or more monomers III with at least two non-conjugated ethylene double bonds; iv) 0-69.9 wt% of one or more (hetero) aromatic monoethylenically unsaturated monomers IV; v) 0-40 wt% of one or more other monoethylenically unsaturated monomers V; and B) 0 to 90 wt% of the polymer phase B obtained by subsequent free radical graft copolymerisation in the presence of polymer phase A obtained after step A), a monomer mixture comprising: i) 0-100 wt% of one or more monomers VI selected from a group of C1-C10-alkyl (meth) acrylates; ii) 0-100 wt% of one or more (hetero) aromatic monoethylenically unsaturated monomers VII; iii) 0-50 wt% of one or more other monoethylenically unsaturated monomers VIII, wherein the weight percentages of the mixtures of monomers used in the respective stages make up a total of 100 wt%, said polymer particles being single-phase polymeric particles of polymer phase A or two-phase polymer particles comprising polymer phase A and polymer phase B.

EFFECT: invention also relates to a method for producing polymer particles, a plastic material comprising said polymer particles and a method for producing a plastic material.
