SUBSTANCE: specific fuel consumption optimization method of helicopter equipped with two gas turbine engines (1, 2), each of which contains equipped with the combustion chamber (CC) gas generator (11, 21), at that, each of these gas turbine engines (1, 2) is configured to operate independently in the constant flight mode, and in this case the other gas turbine engine (2, 1) is in the so-called super-low gas mode with zero power and with switched on combustion chamber (CC), wherein this super-low gas mode is maintained by mechanically driving the gas generator shaft (AE) into rotation in this mode so, that to reduce this gas generator operating temperature and fuel consumption.

EFFECT: proposed is the helicopter specific fuel consumption optimization method.
