SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the process of making paper. Disclosed is an aqueous composition for use in a paper making process, comprising an aqueous phase and a cold-water soluble starch material. Aqueous phase comprises at least a viscosity inhibitor and a hydrocolloid. Starch material is dispersed in the aqueous phase. Method for preparing an aqueous composition is also provided.
EFFECT: present group of inventions provides a stable aqueous starch composition of reduced viscosity with a high dry solids content.
