FIELD: confectionery industry.
SUBSTANCE: stable chewable confectionery product contains starch and a sweetener containing sucrose and glycose syrup. In this case, the ratio of sucrose to glycose in the stable chewable confectionery product is from about 75:25 to about 55:45. At the same time, the stable chewable confectionery product contains a sweetener in the amount of at least 75 wt. % of the weight of the chewable confectionery product per dry matter, contains starch in the amount of at least 0.2 wt. % of the weight of the chewable confectionery product per dry matter, and has a water content from 4.5 to 6.5 wt. % of the weight of the stable chewable confectionery product. In this case, the stable chewable confectionery product has weight of about 4 g or less. The stable chewable confectionery product is not coated and is not wrapped. A method for the production of the specified product is also proposed.
EFFECT: chewable confectionery products, according to the present invention, have consistency similar to conventional chewable confectionery products, but do not require protective coating or wrapper for saving their stability.
