SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technology for winding coils. Machine for producing coils of pre-stretched extendible film comprises a pre-stretching unit and a winding unit for winding the film in a coil. Units have a series of rollers. Advancing film winds partially around the rollers. Winding unit comprises a winding roller. Winding roller is in pressing contact against the coil of the pre-stretched film in winding progress. Final position of contact of the winding roller with the coil varies in accordance with the length of the wound film and in accordance with the required coil diameter.
EFFECT: obtaining coils having a constant diameter and high winding quality.
