SUBSTANCE: single-layer or multi-layer first decorative layer is applied to a carrier layer having a first side and a second side. Metal layer is applied to the side of the first decorative layer (3) facing away from the carrier layer and is structured such that the metal layer has a first thickness in one or more first zones, and a second thickness, different from the first thickness, in one or more second zones, wherein the second thickness is in particular equal to zero. Single-layer or multi-layer second decorative layer is applied to the side of the metal layer facing away from the first decorative layer and using the metal layer as a mask, is structured in such a manner that the first decorative layer or second decorative layer is at least partially removed in the first zones or second zones, respectively.
EFFECT: invention relates to a method of manufacturing a multilayer element, as well as a multilayer element made using said method.
