SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for performing a sealing joint comprising connecting first coupling element (14) to second coupling member (20) with each other, during the process, use first coupling element (14) made of metal and comprising receiving neck (15) having receiving hole (13), and second coupling element (20) having connecting neck (10), the shape of which enables its insertion into receiving neck (15) made of plastic containing at least 90 % by weight of the polymer, and provided with protrusion (12) formed around connecting neck (10) and having a perimeter exceeding the perimeter of receiving hole (13); and sealing collar (28) of circular shape is obtained from the material of protrusion (12) in the highly elastic state of the polymer, which provides a gas-tight seal between connecting neck (10) and receiving neck (15) by pressing connecting neck (10) into receiving hole (13) due to the force acting parallel to the longitudinal axis of receiving neck (15), and due to the fact that protrusion (12) is subjected to residual shear deformation by receiving neck (15) during the pressing process. In addition, the present invention relates to a sealing joint.
EFFECT: sealing joint is proposed.
