SUBSTANCE: cutting device (1) is intended for the film web (2) longitudinal cutting, moving in the web plane (5) in the transport direction (3), in particular, of the polymer film web (2), into plurality of strips (4). At that, the first knife beam (10, 20) in the cutting position (110, 120) is immersed into the web plane (5) by the cutting blades (11, 21). To replace the knife beam (10, 20), the second knife beam (20, 10) is able to be immersed into the web plane (5) with its cutting blades (21, 11). At that, the first knife beam (10, 20) is moving into the transfer position (210, 220) outside the web plane (5).

EFFECT: enabling continuous operation without stopping for the knives replacement.
