FIELD: seals.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a sealing system for sealing shafts relative to a liquid medium, for example, shafts of propellers, impeller shafts, ship pylons and the like, with opposite corner areas of said sealing system, which are located radially inside the clamping space for clamping at least one sealing ring, formed by inclined contact surfaces, which diverges if viewed radially from the inside to the outside, and for placement in the clamping space, the clamping section of the sealing ring comprises two opposite edge regions, which are formed by inclined surfaces that correspond to the surfaces of the incident, and an O-ring for such a sealing system.
