FIELD: shipbuilding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the shipbuilding, in particular to the ship sealing device and to the ship's propeller shaft sealing method. Ship sealing device comprises supported by at least one bearing adapted to rotation propeller shaft, located on the propeller shaft water seal. Located on the propeller shaft near the bearing at a distance (A2) in the axial direction (X-X) from the water seal first oil seal. Intermediate compartment passes between the water seal and the first oil seal and is filled with gas. First pressure sensor for the sea water pressure measuring, acting on the propeller shaft, the second pressure sensor for the gas pressure measuring inside the intermediate compartment. Pressure system for the gas pressure creation in the intermediate compartment, as a result of which, the gas pressure in the intermediate compartment is maintained at a lower level than acting on the propeller shaft seawater pressure.
EFFECT: enabling the ship sealing device improvement and the ship's propeller shaft sealing improvement.
