SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely ophthalmosurgery. To increase the volume of the fibrous capsule of the eye during the evisceration, the conjunctiva, the tenon capsule and sclera are cut, the contents of the eyeball are removed. Place implant of porous material in the scleral cavity through the incision in the sclera. Stitches are applied to the sclera, the tenon capsule and conjunctiva. Closure of defects of the fibrous capsule of the eye, formed after the scleral flaps over the implant, is performed by sewing with 8:0 nodal seams of 0.45 mm thick porous polytetrafluoroethylene (PPTFE) films to edges of the formed defects with the capture of the sclera by 1–2 mm. In this case, a two-layer material is used – on the side facing the sclera, PPTFE with a porosity of 30 % with a pore diameter of 250–300 mcm, and on side covered by the tenon sheath, a porosity of 10 % with a pore diameter of 10 mcm.
EFFECT: method allows to shorten the period of postoperative rehabilitation of patients with simultaneous simplification of the technique of performing the operation and to increase the cosmetic effect after the operative intervention.
