FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processes in oil refining industry, in particular to methods for purifying fuel oil from hydrogen sulphide and petroleum fractions, components of commercial fuel oil. Method for purifying fuel oil from hydrogen sulphide and oil fractions, fuel oil components, involves purging them with circulating purge gas in mass exchange apparatus equipped with contact devices, by feeding countercurrently cleanable components to the top of apparatus, and blowing gas – under contact devices of apparatus, subsequent purification of circulating purge gas with amines, removal of raw material from hydrogen sulphide from bottom of mass exchange apparatus, the circulating purge gas is continuously enriched with fresh purge gas in volume ratio of circulating purge gas of 0.005–0.05:1.0, as fresh purge gas, mixture of nitrogen and oxygen with oxygen content of 0.1–5.0 % by volume is used, supplying fresh purge gas through bed of raw material purged with circulating purge gas from hydrogen sulphide accumulating at the bottom of mass exchange apparatus.

EFFECT: result is increase in economic efficiency of method without loss of quality of products obtained.
