FIELD: images forming devices.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to liquid crystal display devices and dimming process. Liquid crystal display includes lower substrate provided with lower common electrode, scanning line, data line, pixel electrode, and thin film transistor. Gate electrode of thin-film transistor is connected to scanning line. Source electrode of thin-film transistor is connected to data line. Drain electrode of thin film transistor is connected to pixel electrode. Lower common electrode has elongation. Data line connection line and source electrode of thin-film transistor are located at distance from each other and partially coincide with elongation. When process of blackout is performed, connection line is disconnected from data line and connected to extension.
EFFECT: elimination of problem of fragmentary bright points, simplification of repair.
