SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for recognizing human faces, a device for recognizing human faces and terminal and belongs to the field of image processing technology. Claimed method of recognizing human faces comprises steps of: obtaining original image; adding predetermined numerical pixels to edge region of the original image to obtain the image, subject to processing; identifying human faces on the image to be processed, and determine human face in the original image according to the result of recognizing human faces. And the recognition of human faces on the image to be processed, comprises the steps of: obtaining a plurality of partial images of the image to be processed; and decide whether each partial image is partial image of human face, with the use of pre-trained adaptively enhanced classifier of human faces.

EFFECT: technical result is to increase human face recognition rate.
