FIELD: pharmacology.
SUBSTANCE: invention constitutes a method for isolation of bioactive Proanthocyanidins including extraction of crushed leaves of Blueberry (Vaccinium uliginosum) with methanol for 3 hours at a temperature of 30-35°C, alcohol solution evaporation to 1/10 of the initial volume, dilution with the 4 x volume of water and sequential extraction with chloroform, ether and ethyl acetate, then the obtained aqueous solution is evaporated and subjected to chromatography on a column with Silicagel with particle sizes of 0.040-0.063 mm, using a mixture of methylene chloride with methanol at a ratio of 1:1 as the eluent, and a bioactive fraction with Rf 0.29 is isolated.
EFFECT: invention allows to improve the method of isolation of a certain fraction of proanthocyanidins with biological activity.
