FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a moving bed reactor that can be used in refining and petrochemical processes, such as catalytic reforming of gasolines or the production of benzene, toluene and xylenes, as well as hydrotreatment of residues. Reactor comprises baskets in which the catalyst is placed, the baskets being movable along a substantially vertical axis and provided with substantially vertical flaps attached to the bottom of the baskets, while the catalytic circulation is stopped, the catalyst storage space located in the lower part of the reactor is released by lifting up the basket assembly and the associated shields.
EFFECT: invention provides an efficient operation of the reactor, and also eliminates the risks associated with the cessation of the circulation of the catalyst.
