SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture. Proposed is a method for increasing drought hardiness and resistance to spring barley diseases, which comprises pre-seeding treatment with a working solution containing a chemical preparation comprising 60 g/l of prochloraz, 20 g/l of triticonazole, and water. Poly-beta-hydrobutyric acid from the genus Bacillus Megaterium bacteria is further added to the working solution. Ratio by weight of a chemical preparation, water and poly-beta-hydrobutyric acid is 2:1,000:0.00003, respectively, with a working solution consumption of 10 l/ton.

EFFECT: invention provides increased resistance of spring barley plants to root and juxtahilar rottenness, major leaf mycoses, and adaptation of spring barley plants to insufficient moisture conditions.
