FIELD: biotechnologies.
SUBSTANCE: method for improvement of resistance of plants to abiotic stresses provides for treatment of plants by associated methylotrophic bacteria having a protective action on growth and development of plants subject to abiotic stresses. As bacteria with a protective action there used are natural isolates of methylobacteria having an ability for synthesis of phytohormones, gibberellins, cytokines and auxins. Seeds and microreplicated plants can be subject to inoculation.
EFFECT: invention allows increasing productivity and resistance of plants to adverse effects of the environment: moisture deficit, increased acidity and ionic toxicity.
