DEVICE FOR COMMON AIR CRYOTHERAPY Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC A61F7/00 A61B18/02

Abstract RU 2665143 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment and can be used for carrying out cryotherapy procedures by means of short-term extreme cooling of the entire surface of the human body with dry air streams with a temperature of up to -180 °C. Apparatus for general air cryotherapy comprises, at least, one procedural chamber and a means connected thereto for obtaining a cooling gaseous medium, including an air cooling unit and a series-connected compressor unit, a filter unit, a refrigeration dryer, an absorption dehumidifier and an expander unit. Compressor unit includes sequentially connected air intake means, the first stage compressor, an intercooler, the second stage compressor located on the same shaft as the first stage compressor, and an aftercooler. Filter unit includes a series connected moisture separator and at least two filters. Expander unit includes a series-connected recuperative heat exchanger, expander, the output of which is connected to the input of at least one procedural chamber, the output of which is in turn connected to the corresponding input of a recuperative heat exchanger, the corresponding output of which is connected to a compressor located on the same shaft as the expander. Air-cooling unit includes a series connected storage tank with the coolant, a centrifugal pump and a dry cooler configured to suck in atmospheric air, the output of which is connected to the respective inputs of the intercooler and aftercooler and the cooling circuit of the electric motor that drives the first and the second stage compressors whose respective outputs are connected to the input of the storage tank.

EFFECT: use of the invention makes it possible to reduce the power consumption of the device.
