SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely anesthesiology, and can be used in the prevention of bradycardia during inhalation induction into anesthesia with sevoflurane in children. For this, double bolus induction with sevoflurane is performed. In this case, after the first bolus induction, sevoflurane at a concentration of 6 vol.% in the flowing oxygen and nitrous oxide 3 l/min and 3 l/min, respectively, leading to the child falling asleep and stopping the excitement stage, the delivery of the inhalation anesthetic is discontinued as soon as the decrease in heart rate begins. At the same time, the contour of the anesthetic apparatus is purged with 100 % oxygen. After that, the child continues to breathe through the anesthetic apparatus using auxiliary mask ventilation for 3–4 minutes against the background of a decrease in the concentration of sevoflurane to 0.6–0.3 % vol. Repeated bolus induction with sevoflurane with a fully open evaporator and the previous flowing oxygen and nitrous oxide begins from the moment of cessation of heart rate decrease and the beginning of its rapidity.

EFFECT: method provides prevention of bradycardia in children with inhalational induction of sevoflurane without the use of additional medications by ensuring the stability of the myocardium to the repeated action of anesthetic due to its preconditioning with sevoflurane.
