This method comprises: verification of the receipt of a request for remote display onto the screen from a peer device via a connection for transmitting data over a wireless network; receival of the Internet Protocol (IP-address) address and peer port number in case of the receival of a request for remote display onto the screen from a peer device; formation of a universal recourse locator (URL) corresponding to the media data, intended for the display onto the screen of the peer device, in accordance with the IP address and port number; determination of the standard player corresponding to the URL; and playback of the media data corresponding to the URL.

EFFECT: technical result consists in increasing the speed of information processing.
