ELUTING MATRIX AND USES THEREOF Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC A61K9/00 A61K47/42 A61K38/00 A61P3/10 A61P37/00

Abstract RU 2665359 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of medicine, specifically immunology, and is intended for the treatment of autoimmune disorders. Eluting matrix suitable for implantation into the body of a subject comprises at least one protein-expressing cell. Cell is encapsulated in a porous polymer matrix releasing a CXCL12 polypeptide. Rate of release of the CXCL12 polypeptide from the matrix is at least 1.0 ng/ml/h to repel the effector T cells surrounding the matrix within one month after implantation. Also, the eluting matrix is characterised by a) a matrix thickness of 200–500 mcm and a CXCL12 polypeptide concentration in the matrix of 100 ng/ml to 1 mcg/ml; b) such porosity that agents regulating the concentration of glucose in the serum of a subject with type I diabetes diffuse through the matrix; c) production of insulin with said islet cells, wherein the insulin is released through the matrix at a rate sufficient to control the blood glucose concentration of said subject.

EFFECT: use of a group of inventions increases the effectiveness of treatment of autoimmune diseases due to specific modulation of immunity in a limited area of the body.
