FIELD: biology; medicine.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to the field of cell biology and medicine, in particular to methods for producing insulin-secreting beta cells sensitive to glucose in the blood. To implement these methods, endocrine cells secreting hormones that simultaneously express INS and NKX6.1 are used. These endocrine cells are transplanted to the subject, and they mature in vivo.
EFFECT: present invention makes it possible to minimize the loss of the resulting cells, thereby increasing their yield.
