SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a slurry hydrocracking process comprising slurry hydrocracking of a hydrocarbon feed in a slurry hydrocracking reactor to obtain a hydroprocessing effluent stream; stripping a relatively cold hydroprocessing effluent stream which is a portion of said hydroprocessing effluent stream in a cold stripper column to provide a cold stripped stream; stripping a relatively warm hydroprocessing effluent stream which is a portion of said hydroprocessing effluent stream;stripping a relatively hot hydroprocessing effluent stream which is a portion of said hydroprocessing effluent stream in a hot stripper column to provide a hot stripped stream; and fractionating said hot stripped stream. Invention also relates to a slurry hydrocracker plant comprising a slurry hydrocracking reactor; a cold stripper column in communication with said slurry hydrocracking reactor; a hot stripper column in communication with said slurry hydrocracking reactor; a warm separator in communication with said slurry hydrocracking reactor, wherein said warm separator comprises a container, an inlet and an outlet; and a stripping column in communication downstream with said warm separator along a line of a warm, hydroprocessed separator stream. For stripping off three effluent hydroprocessing streams, for example from a slurry hydrocracking reactor separated by temperature, two or three stripping columns are used instead of one stripping column to maintain the previously achieved separation and save energy and reduce the size of the containers.
EFFECT: cold stripped stream can be selected as a base component of diesel without additional fractionation.
