FIELD: fault detection.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nondestructive testing of materials and can be used to control the change in the thermophysical properties of controlled objects of metallic materials and semiconductors as a result of thermomechanical treatment or operational impact. Proposed is a method for thermoelectric nondestructive testing of thermophysical properties of current-conducting materials, which provides for replacement of heating of the controlled object with a hot electrode by heating it in a given region by pulsed laser radiation. Wherein only a cold electrode located at a given distance from the laser radiation point is used to measure the thermal electromotive force. And the thermophysical properties of the controlled object are determined by comparing the thermal electromotive force obtained with the known thermal electromotive force value of the reference sample with known thermophysical properties.
EFFECT: increased accuracy, reliability and informativeness of the method of thermoelectric nondestructive testing of thermophysical properties of conductive materials.
