FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to ophthalmic surgery. To restore the normotonus of the eyeball after an air tamponade of the vitreal cavity (VP) when performing endovitral interventions with a vitreoretinal harvester equipped with an IOP automatic regulating unit, in case of decrease in IOP during removal of the ports, an additional 32G needle is inserted through the puncture in the projection of the flat part of the ciliary body and the sterile air is supplied until normalization of the IOP, after which the needle is removed from the cavity of the eye and the operation is completed.
EFFECT: method allows to restore the normotonus of the eyeball in case of a decrease in IOP when the ports are removed after the tamponade of the VP with sterile air and the effectiveness of surgical intervention is increased.
