SUBSTANCE: invention relates to high temperature composites that are resistant to oxidation and thermal shocks in contact with molten metal and can be used in the manufacture of nozzles for spraying metals and alloys. Ceramic composite material based on boron nitride contains the following components, vol. %: boron nitride 71–73, zirconium dioxide 17–19, silicon carbide 8–9, zirconium diboride 1–2. With the claimed content and the ratio of the components of boron nitride and zirconium dioxide in the proposed ceramic composite, a fine-grained structure with a tetragonal zirconia content is formed, which has the property of transformation hardening, which provides an increase in corrosion resistance and mechanical properties.

EFFECT: silicon carbide and zirconium diboride contribute to oxidative stability and reduce the negative impact of thermal expansion.
