FIELD: small arms.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ammunition of small arms. Cartridge without bullet, characterized in that it contains body with cavity inside its tail part, in which powder charge is located. Inside powder charge at the end of cartridge combustible electrode is installed, isolated from body through combustible dielectric. Powder charge is made of two parts: first part – from powder charge of fast burning, second – from delayed burning, and ampulized by radial reduction of end of cartridge tail part. Shot occurs due to embedding of bullet in electric circuit and initiation of electric discharge between combusted electrode, located in tail part of bullet, and bullet body inside powder charge. Absence of capsule and sleeve allows target to be defeated using all ammunition, and also to simplify and reduce cost of production technology. Caseless cartridge has straight cylindrical shape, that enables to abandon complex reciprocating mechanism for sending conical cartridge into barrel of small arms.
EFFECT: shot is carried out with co-axial alignment of barrel of weapon and cartridge without use of firing mechanism, which also makes it possible to simplify design of small arms and increase its rate of fire.
