SUBSTANCE: method for fitting stud (600, 131, 131a, 131b, 132) in tire (100) comprises: socket (110, 111, 111a, 111b, 112) for the specified stud (600, 131, 131a, 131b, 132) in tire (100) is identified; a pattern of the circumference of at least the said socket (110, 111, 111a, 111b, 112) is formed, while the information about pattern (120, 121, 121a, 121b, 122) in the circumference of the socket, and the said received information is used to determine [i] the type of stud corresponding to said socket (110, 111, 111a, 111b, 112), and/or [ii] the proper orientation (O) of the stud corresponding to said socket (110, 111, 111a, 111b, 112). Method comprises the following: stud (600, 131, 131a, 131b, 132) is provided and set in socket (110, 111, 111a, 111b, 112). Type of the said stud corresponds to the said socket and/or said stud is fitted in said socket (110, 111, 111a, 111b, 112) so that the main direction (P, P₁₃₁, P_131a, P_131b) of the stud is parallel to the said proper orientation (O) of the stud.
