FIELD: tire production.
SUBSTANCE: studded tire contains tread band (2), in which a tread pattern is defined, while there is module (M) in the specified pattern. Tread band (2) contains at least one first block (110), in which stud (100) is placed, and at least one basic block (130), which does not contain any studs, and which is located at a place corresponding to first block (110) in module (M), which is separate from a module containing the first block. Initial edge (111) is defined on first block (110), and it corresponds to an edge of the basic block, when the basic block is superimposed on the first block, while the specified initial edge separates first block (110) into main part (112), which essentially corresponds to the basic block, and protrusion (113), which corresponds to part of the first block, which is added relatively to the basic block. Stud (100) is placed in the first block so that it contacts with initial edge (111) or is entirely located inside protrusion (113).
EFFECT: improvement of operational characteristics of a tire both relatively to road holding and relatively to noise emission.
