FIELD: motors and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: turbine engine start system contains a battery, a DC starter, an electronic control calculator, a transmission reducer, starting auxiliary devices, gas generator, which in turn contains a compressor, a combustion chamber and a high-pressure turbine together with a free turbine. First and second circuits are connected in parallel and located between the battery and the DC starter. First circuit comprises a DC/DC converter connected in series with the first switch, and the second circuit comprises a second switch. System further comprises at least a sensor for measuring the rotational speed of the compressor, a sensor for measuring the temperature at the inlet to the free turbine and a control circuit for controlling the first and second switches depending on the information provided by the sensor for measuring the rotational speed of the compressor and by means of a sensor for measuring the input temperature of the free turbine.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to improve the reliability of starting a turbine engine.
