FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of gas turbine engines. Auxiliary device for an aircraft gas turbine engine with a free turbine contains a first electric power supply means to power a winding of a starter rotating machine, called the “first” winding, in order to provide first assistance to accelerate the gas generator engine. Device additionally contains a control device to monitor the specified first assistance and electric power supply means for supplying power to the second winding of the rotating machine so as to provide second assistance contributing to acceleration of said gas generator, if the control means determines that first assistance is not enough.
EFFECT: invention allows to increase the efficiency of the gas turbine engine.
