QUICK-RELIEF DEVICE FOR ENGINE WITH FREE AIRCRAFT TURBINE Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC B64D27/10 F02C6/14 F01D15/10

Abstract RU 2684691 C2

FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: quick-relief device is used with engine (11) with a free aircraft turbine, which has at least first engine (11) that has a free turbine equipped with a gas generator and is associated with electric machine (12) adapted to operate both as a starter and as a generator. In this case, first engine (11) is adapted to be transferred to the standby mode or to the undesirable off mode, and the electric machine is powered by on-board network (17) of the electric power supply. Additionally, the device includes at least one electric energy storage element (14) adapted to electrically connect with electric machine (12) associated with first engine (11), which is necessary to provide pulse assistance to the gas generator of this engine (11). Electric energy storage element (14) is a non-rechargeable "primary" element of energy storage, which can be used only once. Also the device includes a system for activating electric energy storage element (14) and device (15) for connecting the electric energy storage element with electric power supply system (13, 16) of electric machine (12).

EFFECT: quick-relief device for an engine with a free turbine of an aircraft has been proposed.
