Surge arrester of the aerodrome lighting system comprises the primary circuit, which has a plurality of transformers with primary windings and secondary windings, where the primary windings are connected in series to the primary circuit, and at least one of the secondary windings of the transformers is configured to supply electric power to the secondary circuit, which has the lighting device of the aerodrome lighting system, the surge arrester comprises the sealed enclosure for protecting the arrester circuits and connectors for electrical connection of the arrester to the secondary circuit, the arrester is configured to create the current route with low impedance to the ground for overvoltages.

EFFECT: surge arrester is proposed for the system of aerodrome lighting equipment.
