RADIOACTIVE NUCLIDES RECOVERY FROM THE SPENT RESIN MATERIALS METHOD AND INSTALLATION Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC G21F9/30 G21F9/00

Abstract RU 2666415 C1

FIELD: nuclear physics and equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the radioactive isotopes recovering method from effluents of the nuclear power plants spent resin materials and to the method implementation installation. Method comprises the spent resin treatment with organic acid or alkaline compound in order to release the radioisotope from the spent resin and obtaining the containing radioisotope process solution, at that, the spent resin is the ion exchange resin selected from the group consisting of cation and anion exchange resins, mixed ion exchange resins and loaded with the radioisotope mixture thereof, radioisotope separation from the process solution by specific to the radioisotope reaction and obtaining the radioisotope depleted technological solution, at that, the radioisotope specific reaction is selected from the group consisting of physical reaction, electrochemical reaction, precipitation reaction and combination thereof, at that, the depleted process solution comprises organic acid or alkaline compound and ionic components, next, the organic acid or alkaline compound reaction in the depleted process solution, by the in situ oxidation reaction to water and the reaction gaseous products formation, and the process solution passing through the treated spent resin in order to displace the ionic components from the spent resin.

EFFECT: invention enables the radioactive isotopes efficient recovery, as well as technical and economic advantages.
