FIELD: nuclear power.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nuclear power, in particular to the technology of conditioning and processing of radioactive waste, and can be used to deactivate spent resorcinol-formaldehyde ion-exchange resins. The method consists in dissolving spent resorcinol-formaldehyde ion-exchange resins at room temperature by sequential treatment with small volumes of solutions of nitric acid and alkali and subsequent hydrothermal oxidation in a flow-through reactor at a temperature of 195-250°С in the presence of hydrogen peroxide.
EFFECT: invention allows implementing continuous homogeneous processing.
