FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of epoxy binders and can be used in preparation of prepregs based on them based on glass, carbon, organic fillers by impregnation method for manufacturing high-strength heat-resistant polymer composite materials for products in aircraft and rocket construction, shipbuilding, oil and gas industry and other industries. Epoxy binder consists of mixture of epoxy-novolac resin UP-643, curing agent isomethyltetrahydrophthalic anhydride (IMTGFA) and curing catalyst in form of tetrabutylammonium salt or neodecanoic acid dimethylhydrazide, or 4-phenylazo-N,N-dimethylaniline, or 1-(2-pyridylazo)-2-naphthol with following binder component ratio (parts by weight): epoxy-lanolin resin UP-643 50.0–54.0; hardener IMTGFA 45.0–49.0; curing catalyst 0.3–1.1.
EFFECT: use of new binder according to invention of above composition allows long-term viability of binder to be in order of 6 to 9 hours at impregnation temperature of 50 to 70 °C and increase heat resistance (glass transition temperature) of plastic.
