Bracket for protecting the edge of a vehicle comprises first section, second section and a channel formed between the first and second sections receiving the edge, reverse side, adhesive material disposed on the reverse side, front side, which is opposite the back side, and a transition surface on the front side inclined inwardly from the first section to the second section for deflecting the wheel from the edge upon an off-center impact. Body of a vehicle comprises a vehicle body having an edge and said bracket.

EFFECT: reduction in the penetration of the body elements into the cabin during a collision is achieved.
