FIELD: trackless land vehicles.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of transport machine building. In a first embodiment, the joint for a motor vehicle body comprises first and second structural members. Second structural member has an adjoining portion that is in substantially juxtaposed abutting relation with the first structural member, a ramp portion terminating in a bare exposed edge, which is spaced from the first structural member to form a gap. In a second embodiment, the joint for a motor vehicle comprises an aluminium member attached to a hydro-formed steel member. Method for forming a joint for a motor vehicle consists in that the first structural member is made of an aluminium material, the second structural member is of a steel material and the second structural member is attached to the first structural member.
EFFECT: reduction of corrosion of the joint is achieved due to the formation of a gap between the joint elements.
