SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, specifically to oncology, and can be used in treating low-lying tumors of the rectum and anal canal. For this purpose, radiotherapy sessions are conducted. Before the first 3–5 sessions of the first course of radiotherapy, for 30–60 minutes, introduction of parenteral fiber ozonized saline in the concentration of ozone 200–400 mcg/l in a volume of 20–40 ml is carried out. In the second course of radiotherapy, ozonized saline is administered before each irradiation session.

EFFECT: method provides a pronounced regression of the primary tumor, as well as an improvement in the tolerability of radiation therapy due to the activation of antioxidant, prooxidant, immune and neuroendocrine systems, which cause correction of various parts of homeostasis.
