FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, oncology and concerns a method of treating locally advanced rectal cancer (RC). One performs teletherapy (RTT), chemotherapy capecitabine and oxaliplatin, verified chemotherapy followed by a surgery. Note here that conformable large fraction RTT is performed in a single basic dose of 4 Gy to total basic dose of 40 Gy, 3 times a week, total 10 sessions. Simultaneously with the course of radiation therapy, a course of chemotherapy capecitabine in dosage 850 mg/m2 twice a day every 12:00. Then 2 courses of consolidating chemotherapy every 7 days: oxaliplatin in dosage 130 mg/m2 intravenously on the first day of each course and capecitabine in a daily dose 2,000 mg/m2 inside twice a day every 12:00 during 14 days. Total duration of treatment of 8 weeks.
EFFECT: method provides evident therapeutic pathomorphosis at T3 and T4 stages of RC, increase of frequency of complete therapeutic pathomorphism, low degree of toxicity.
