FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to plasma arc cutting systems. Replaceable cartridge, comprising components for use with a plasma arc cutting system, includes a housing, which supports components of the replaceable cartridge, comprising an electrode placed inside the housing, nozzle, a mechanism for connecting the housing with a torch for plasma arc cutting and a spring. Method of configuring a plasma arc cutting system includes steps of: selecting components for assembling a replaceable cartridge including an electrode, a nozzle, a spring and a connection mechanism; positioning the components in the housing of the replaceable cartridge containing a swirler; holding together the components of the replaceable cartridge by means of the housing; placing the replaceable cartridge in the torch for plasma arc cutting to perform the cutting process.
EFFECT: providing a plasma arc cutting system that simplifies the process of selecting consumables by using cartridges that include consumables for a specific cutting task, and automatically sets the cutting parameters for the cutting task based on the cartridge being installed.
