FIELD: nanotechnologies.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nanotechnology. Synthesis of endohedral fullerenes is carried out in a water-cooled metal sealed chamber in a high-frequency arc plasma using alternating current at atmospheric pressure. In lower chamber 4 there is installed one vertical graphite electrode 2 and an even number of identical graphite electrodes 1, located horizontally, providing a discharge, into the axial openings of which are placed substances containing chemical elements introduced into the fullerene molecule. In series with discharge electrodes 1, inductors 6 are connected, the axes of which are arranged so that, that the direction of the magnetic field created by them is perpendicular to the axis of the discharge between one of the pairs of electrodes 1. In the side wall of lower chamber 4, holes are provided for tangentially supplying the buffer gas in the plane of electrodes 1, the angles between the axes of which 360°/n, where n is the number of electrodes. Resulting discharge plasma is fed to the cylindrical part of the chamber 5 for separating gas into hot 7 and cold 8 streams.
EFFECT: invention provides an increase in the content of endohedral fullerenes in the carbon condensate.
