FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: described is a composition for amplifying a nucleic acid of interest, comprising a mixture of deoxynucleotides (dNTPs), divalent cations, an enzyme capable of DNA amplification, and primers suitable for amplifying a nucleic acid of interest, including a DNA of interest, characterized in that said mixture contains a salt containing ammonium as a cation and a weak acid anion where said salt is ammonium pentaborate and dicarboxylic acid. Also, disclosed are kits for amplifying a nucleic acid of interest, including said composition. In addition, methods for amplifying a nucleic acid of interest, including a DNA of interest, are described, including the use of said composition.
EFFECT: methods may be used in a qualitative or quantitative manner, and may also be used to determine whether the concentration of specific nucleic acid sequences in biological samples is below a set threshold level.
