FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of biotechnology. Presented is an expression cassette containing a promoter nucleotide sequence of a gene coding internal protein of a soya plasma membrane functionally connected with a heterologous nucleic acid. Also presented are transgenic plants and plant cells containing in their genome a stably built-in expression cassette according to the invention. Invention also relates to methods of expressing a heterologous nucleotide sequence in a plant using promoter sequences disclosed herein. Methods envisage stable incorporation into the plant cell genome of a heterologous nucleotide sequence operably linked to the promoter of the present invention, and regeneration of a stably transformed plant which expresses a nucleotide sequence.
EFFECT: invention provides high level of gene expression in transgenic plants.
