SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an apparatus for generating heat and hydrogen. Device comprises: burner combustion chamber (3), torch (7) located in burner combustion chamber (3) for burning the torch, a fuel supply device, made with the possibility of controlling the fuel flow supplied from torch (7) in combustion chamber (3) of the torch, an air supply device, made with the possibility of controlling the temperature and the quality of the air flow supplied from torch (7) in combustion chamber (3) of the torch, ignition device (19) configured to ignite the fuel, reforming catalyst (4), combustion gases of the burner are supplied to it, and electronic control unit (30). At that, the air supply device is provided with heat exchange element (13a) for heating the air, supplied from torch (7) to combustion chamber (3) of the torch, by means of the combustion gases of the torch, the heat and hydrogen being formed during the combustion of the torch, the permissible temperature of the catalyst, helping to avoid thermal degradation of reforming catalyst (4), is predetermined.
EFFECT: technical result is to ensure that the reforming catalyst is not degraded by heat.
