SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to an apparatus and method for detecting air purifier parameters, as well as to a corresponding terminal. Method of detecting air purifier parameters, realised during the operation of the air purifier, includes steps of: acquiring air quality parameters of an air inlet region and an air outlet region of an air purifier, respectively; determining purification parameters corresponding to the air quality parameter of the air inlet region and the air quality parameter of the air outlet region; and outputting the purification parameters. Step of acquiring an air quality parameter of the air inlet region of the air purifier and an air quality parameter of the air outlet region of the air purifier, comprises acquiring information on the type of filter element of the air purifier; determination of the type of the parameter corresponding to the information on the type of filter element; and acquiring an air quality parameter of the air inlet region corresponding to said parameter type and the air quality parameter of the outlet region corresponding to said parameter type.
